Forged paintings
Recently, we haved received warnings from different personalities in the field of the arts in Bulgaria about forged paintings, which have also been echoed by the bulgarian press.
These warnings aim at recently discovered forgeries that include paintings supposedly made by Eliezer Alcheh. In this section we show some paintings whose authenticity we cannot guarantee without proper examination.
We would like to inform that Alcheh’s paintings are slightly under 200 oils, most part of them listed very precisely by his wife Bronka Giurova. True to his education and style, each painting was made carefully during months.
Most of his works can be seen on this website. The few paintings not shown on these galleries are found in museums in Bulgaria and also in Argentina. The artist’s family offers confidential and free help to assess the authenticity of any artwork claiming to be Alcheh’s.
